It is a core steering actuation component connecting the steering wheel to the wheels—the steering rack assembly. The steering rack adopts a rack and pinion electric power steering (EPS) structure, converting the rotational motion of the steering wheel into linear motion of the rack to steer the wheels. As a core sales model of BYD's pure electric vehicle lineup, the BYD Qin PLUS EV comes standard with an electric power steering (EPS) system. The EPS system consists of sensors (torque/angle sensor, vehicle speed sensor), a controller (EPS ECU), and an actuator (EPS motor), along with related mechanical components, using the EPS motor to provide steering assistance.
