Product Description

This product is professionally designed for BYD’s popular Ocean Series model—the BYD Formula Leopard 5, serving as a core aerodynamic and protective component installed at the lower section of the front bumper assembly.

As a professional manufacturing factory specializing in automotive exterior trim and aerodynamic parts, our front bumper lower body strictly follows OE specifications, dedicated to providing the global aftermarket with high-precision, high-weatherability replacement solutions.

The front bumper lower body is installed at the bottom of the front bumper assembly—serving as a core structural component connecting the lower air intake grille and the front lip, integrating the lower air intake grille, spoiler lip (front lip), fog light/daytime running light mounting positions, and underbody shield connection structures. According to the Formula Leopard 5 design description, the headlights work with the “lower bumper flying fin” design to emphasize the forward-punching front-end feel ; the front bumper features raised spoiler styling on the outside with a prominent lower spoiler lip design .

Compatible with all BYD Formula Leopard 5 models (including DM-i Dynamic/Premium versions). According to official data, the Formula Leopard 5 measures 4780×1837×1515mm with a wheelbase of 2718mm . The front bumper lower body embodies the Ocean Aesthetic design philosophy, complementing the vehicle’s low, sporty stance .

  • The front bumper lower body is an exterior cover and aerodynamic component—must be replaced when damaged by underbody strikes or frontal collisions.

  • If only surface paint scratches are present, paint repair may be considered without replacing the body.

  • Recommended to inspect the connection with the middle-upper body and the underbody shield when replacing—ensuring assembly integrity.

Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

  • Plastic clip removal tool

  • Phillips screwdriver / Socket wrench

  •  Cleaning cloth

  • Replacement clips/screws (if required)

 Installation Steps (General Reference):

  1. Lift vehicle: Raise the front using a lift or jack—ensure safety

  2. Remove underbody shield: Remove front underbody shield to access lower body mounting positions

  3. Remove old lower body: Remove the lower body from the bumper assembly—retain mounting clips

  4. Disconnect relevant connectors: If equipped with fog lights/DRLs, unplug corresponding connectors

  5. Clean mounting surface: Clean the bumper assembly mounting surface and clip positions

  6. Install new lower body: Position the new lower body—align clip positions—press firmly to ensure clips lock

  7. Install underbody shield: Install front underbody shield—tighten screws

  8. Check installation: Verify uniform gap between lower body and bumper assembly

【Professional Tips】:

  • Pay attention to front lip orientation: The lower body’s front lip is forward-protruding—check orientation markings during installation

  • Check underbody shield connection: The lower body connects to the underbody shield via clips and screws—ensure all fastening points are securely locked during installation

  • Sensor calibration: If equipped with front radar or 360° camera, functional testing is recommended after replacement
