Product Description

This product is professionally designed for BYD’s popular model—the Song PLUS, serving as a core exterior and safety component installed at the vehicle rear end, undertaking critical tasks including rear collision protection, sensor mounting, and rear visual identity.

As a professional manufacturing factory specializing in automotive exterior parts and body structural components, our Song PLUS rear bumper assembly strictly follows OE specifications, dedicated to providing the global aftermarket with high-precision, high-strength replacement solutions.

According to teardown reviews, the Song PLUS rear crash beam features a single-layer stamped steel structure with a thickness of 1.05mm, covering 73.63% of the vehicle rear width . The vehicle measures 4775×1890×1670mm with a wheelbase of 2765mm and a kerb weight of 1830kg.

Compatible with all BYD Song PLUS trims (including DM-i/EV, 2021-2025 models). According to vehicle specifications, the Song PLUS features a front-wheel drive layout with a unibody structure. This product offers OE-spec and various accessory options with vehicle-specific design, compatible with original mounting positions.

Installation Instructions

Important Safety Note:
Rear bumper replacement involves sensor harness and structural component disassembly/reassembly—disconnecting the vehicle 12V battery negative terminal is recommended before replacement to prevent short circuits or accidental sensor activation. All bolts must be tightened to OEM standard torque after replacement. After replacing the rear bumper with radar/camera, reverse radar and 360° camera calibration is required at a dealer. Professional body repair technician operation recommended.

Tools Required:

  • Plastic clip removal tool

  • Socket wrench / Impact wrench

  • Torque wrench

  • Cleaning Cloth

  • Special Torx screwdriver (some models require)

Installation Steps (General Reference):

  1. Disconnect power: Disconnect vehicle 12V battery negative terminal

  2. Remove rear taillights (if required): Remove both rear taillight assemblies to access bumper mounting screws

  3. Remove fender flare trim: Remove rear wheel fender flare trim to access mounting screws

  4. Remove mounting screws and clips: Remove rear bumper mounting screws (note: Torx screws require special tools) and bottom clips

  5. Disconnect electrical connectors: Unplug rear radar and camera harness connectors

  6. Remove old bumper: Carefully remove the old rear bumper assembly—protect the paint surface

  7. Clean mounting surface: Clean the rear body mounting surfaces and clip positions

  8. Install new bumper: Position the new bumper—align with mounting holes

  9. Install sensors and harness: Transfer OEM radar and sensors to new bumper positions—connect harness

  10. Torque mounting bolts: Use torque wrench to tighten all mounting bolts to OEM standard torque

  11. Reinstall fender flare trim and taillights: Reinstall fender flare trim and rear taillight assemblies

  12. Reconnect & test: Reconnect battery, start vehicle—test rear radar and camera functions

  13. Sensor calibration: If equipped with 360° camera, system calibration is required

【Professional Tips】:

  • Watch for reverse radar harness: Pay attention to radar harnesses on both sides during removal—avoid pulling

  • Special tools required: Some mounting screws are Torx-type—prepare special tools

  • Protection measures: Place protective padding underneath during removal to prevent paint scratches

  • Sensor calibration: After replacing the bumper with radar/camera, calibration is mandatory—otherwise image stitching may misalign
