Detail Information
Product Description

This product is specifically designed for the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i (including the Champion and Honor Editions) Super Hybrid system. It is a highly efficient heat dissipation component—known as the "Electronic Control Radiator" (or "Motor/Controller Cooling Tank")—installed in the front section of the engine bay to provide independent cooling for the motor controller and drive motor. Unlike the traditional engine radiator (main radiator), this dedicated cooling unit is responsible for cooling the core electrical components of the DM-i hybrid system—including high-voltage assemblies such as the front drive motor controller and the drive motor itself. This ensures that these precision electronic components operate within their optimal temperature range (typically 40–60°C), a factor directly critical to the vehicle's power output stability and the longevity of its electronic control systems.

The Xiaoyun 1.5L naturally aspirated engine featured in the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i utilizes an Atkinson cycle operating mode, boasting an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5:1 and a maximum thermal efficiency exceeding 43%. The DM-i hybrid system is equipped with two independent cooling circuits: a larger circuit dedicated to cooling the engine and the air conditioning system, and a smaller circuit dedicated exclusively to cooling the motor and its electronic control unit. Due to the sophisticated nature of the DM-i system, the motor and electronic control unit generate a significant amount of heat during operation; consequently, an independent radiator is essential to maintain them within their optimal operating temperature range. This dedicated cooling unit serves as the core component of this independent thermal management system; while it works in conjunction with the main engine radiator, it operates on a separate circuit. Typically positioned to the side or in front of the main radiator within the engine bay, it establishes a "dual-radiator" layout—characterized by the presence of two coolant filler ports within the engine bay, one located on the left and the other on the right.

As a specialized manufacturer of automotive thermal management components, we develop and produce this product in strict compliance with BYD's original equipment (OE) technical standards. It features an all-aluminum tube-and-fin structure, comprising multi-port aluminum alloy flat tubes, louvered fins, and plastic end tanks, all integrally joined using a Controlled Atmosphere Brazing (CAB) process. This construction offers numerous advantages, including high heat exchange efficiency, superior corrosion resistance, and reliable leak-proof sealing. The product has successfully passed rigorous pressure testing and high/low-temperature cycling tests; its OE part number precisely matches that of the original vehicle component, making it a direct replacement for any damaged or aged cooling units in the vehicle.
