This product is specifically designed for the rear wheel arch of the BYD Qin PLUS EV (including Champion Edition and Intelligent Driving Edition). It is a protective and soundproof component installed between the body sheet metal and the tire above the rear wheel—the rear fender liner assembly. The rear fender liner acts as a "close-fitting shield" for the wheels, directly withstanding mud splash and gravel impact during driving, blocking mud from corroding the body sheet metal, reducing tire rolling noise, and protecting wiring harnesses inside the wheel arch. It is a critical component for ensuring body durability and driving comfort.

As a core sales model of BYD's pure electric vehicle lineup, the BYD Qin PLUS EV is available in multiple range versions including 420KM, 510KM, and 610KM. However, a large number of owners have reported design defects with the original rear wheel fender liner: the original material is cotton/felt, which softens and collapses when exposed to rainy season water, with no screws in the middle for fixation, leading to deformation and sagging after a period of use. Some owners have even reported that "all BYD electric vehicles use cotton fender liners, which rot within a year or two".
