Product Description

This product is specifically designed for the brake system of the BYD Qin PLUS EV pure electric vehicle. It is a critical signal acquisition component installed above the brake pedal assembly—the brake light switch assembly. As the key node connecting the driver's braking intention with the vehicle's safety systems, when the driver depresses the brake pedal, the internal contacts of the switch close, sending an electrical signal to the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM then illuminates the rear brake lights to warn following vehicles. Simultaneously, this signal is also transmitted to multiple control units including the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system, and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), enabling functions such as regenerative braking, automatic EPB release, and adaptive cruise control (ACC) deactivation. It is a core sensing component for ensuring driving safety and proper intelligent driving system operation.

As a core sales model of BYD's pure electric vehicle lineup, the BYD Qin PLUS EV is available in multiple range versions including 420KM, 510KM, and 610KM, with standard electronic parking brake (EPB) and advanced regenerative braking systems. The Qin PLUS EV is equipped with a Hall-effect non-contact sensing technology brake light switch. Compared to traditional mechanical contact switches, it offers significant advantages including no mechanical wear, millisecond-level response speed, and long service life (up to 1 million cycles), making it particularly suitable for the high-frequency regenerative braking conditions of pure electric vehicles.
