Product Description

This product is specifically designed for the BYD472QA 1.5L Xiaoyun plug-in hybrid专用engine in the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i. It is an indispensable core component of the engine intake system—the air filter housing. Located inside the box marked "DM-i" next to the engine, this housing serves as the "protective fortress" that safeguards the air filter element and guides clean air into the engine combustion chambers.

For the DM-i super hybrid system, which is designed with an Atkinson cycle and ultra-high compression ratio, the engine consistently operates within a high-efficiency range, demanding extremely high air intake purity. If the air filter housing is damaged or has a poor seal, unfiltered dust and debris can bypass the filter element and enter the cylinders directly. Over time, this will lead to serious issues such as carbon buildup, power loss, and piston ring damage.

This product is developed and manufactured strictly according to BYD OEM technical standards, using glass fiber reinforced PP high-strength engineering plastic injection molding with excellent temperature resistance, impact resistance, and dimensional stability. The two-piece snap-fit design with EPDM oil-resistant sealing ring ensures long-term sealing reliability.
