Product Description

This product is specifically designed for the A/C heater system of the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i. It is the core heating component installed inside the HVAC unit behind the dashboard—the heater core. The heater core is the "heart" of the automotive A/C heater system, responsible for transferring heat from the engine coolant to the cabin air, providing warmth in cold weather while also serving defrosting and defogging functions for the windshield. It is a critical component for winter driving comfort and safety.

The Xiaoyun 1.5L naturally aspirated engine in the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i features Atkinson cycle operation with an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5:1 and a maximum thermal efficiency exceeding 43%. In cold environments, the plug-in hybrid model's heater system must accommodate both engine waste heat and PTC electric heating modes. When the engine is running, high-temperature coolant flows through the heater core, transferring heat to the cabin via heat exchange; when driving in pure electric mode, the system is supplemented by a PTC water heater. As the core unit of heat exchange, the heater core's efficiency directly affects heating performance and overall vehicle energy consumption.

This product is developed and manufactured strictly according to BYD OEM technical standards, featuring an all-aluminum tube-fin structure composed of aluminum alloy multi-port flat tubes, louvered fins, and plastic tanks, integrally brazed using the CAB brazing process. It offers advantages such as high heat exchange efficiency, strong corrosion resistance, and reliable sealing. The product passes rigorous pressure tests and high-low temperature cycle tests, providing direct replacement for aged or damaged original heater cores to restore proper A/C heater system operation.
