When the vehicle displays overheating alarms, power limitation, or the cooling fan runs continuously at high speed, it typically indicates performance degradation or complete failure of core cooling system components—the electric water pumpelectronic thermostatradiator cooling fan, or main radiator.

The BYD Qin PLUS DM-i features the Xiaoyun 1.5L naturally aspirated engine operating in Atkinson cycle mode, with an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5:1 and maximum thermal efficiency exceeding 43%. The DM-i hybrid system is equipped with two independent cooling circuits: a large circuit for engine and A/C cooling, and a smaller circuit dedicated to motor and electronic control cooling. High-temperature faults typically originate from component failure in the large circuit.
