However, for heavy off-road and rock crawling scenarios, the factory plates offer insufficient protection—upgrading to 5mm/7mm/8mm thickness high-strength plates is recommended . The Formula Leopard 5’s unique control arm opening design expels sand and stones while reducing wear, ensuring perfect integration with the chassis structure . Installation Instructions

Installation Steps (General Reference):

1. Lift Vehicle: Safely raise the vehicle using a lift to provide working clearance

2. Remove OEM Plates: Remove mounting bolts and take off the factory skid plates

3. Clean Mounting Surface: Remove dust and debris from underbody mounting areas

4. Install New Plates in Sequence: Align plates with OEM holes—install in order (Front Cabin → Battery → Fuel Tank → Rear Motor)

5. Install Mounting Bolts: Install included bolts and torque to specifications

6. Check Installation: Confirm all plates are securely installed with no looseness or rattling

【Professional Tips】:

• Installation sequence matters: Front Cabin Plate I must be installed with Plates II & III—Battery Guard can be installed independently 

• Old/new part numbers cannot be mixed: When replacing, old and new plates cannot be intermixed—use matching fasteners 
  Weight increase consideration: Added plates increase vehicle weight—monitor gross weight limit (3265kg)

• Regular plate inspection: Check for underbody scraping after off-roading—replace if deformed
