BYD Song PLUS Front Fender Assembly

Installation Instructions

Important Safety Note:
Front fender replacement involves disassembly/reassembly of the front bumper, headlights, and other surrounding components—disconnecting the vehicle 12V battery negative terminal is recommended before replacement. Professional body repair technician operation recommended.

Tools Required:

• Phillips Screwdriver

• 5mm Hex Wrench

• 7mm Socket

• 10mm Socket (Large Ratchet Wrench) 

• Plastic Pry Tool

Installation Steps (General Reference):

1. Disconnect power: Disconnect vehicle 12V battery negative terminal

2. Turn wheels fully and shut off: Turn the steering wheel fully, turn off engine and remove key 

3. Remove front bumper screws: Use Phillips screwdriver to remove four upper screws, use 5mm hex wrench to remove two side screws 

4. Remove fender screws: Use Phillips screwdriver and 7mm socket to remove three fender screws, lift the splash shield 

5. Remove connecting screws: Use square screwdriver and 7mm socket to remove screws connecting fender and bumper 

6. Remove old fender: Carefully remove the old front fender assembly

7. Compare & confirm: Verify new part matches old in OE number and structure

8. Install new fender: Position the new fender—align with mounting holes and buckle positions

9. Tighten mounting bolts: Install bolts and torque to specification

10. Reinstall front bumper: Reinstall front bumper and surrounding trim

• Pay attention to left/right orientation: Left and right front fenders are separate components—not interchangeable

• Clip protection: Protect clips during removal—replace if damaged

• Gap adjustment: Adjust gaps between fender, bumper, and doors after installation for uniform appearance
