Detail Information
Product Description

The BYD Song PLUS Side Rearview Mirror Assembly is a side-view mirror accessory developed specifically for this vehicle model. As a critical active safety component, it directly affects the driver‘s side and rear visibility and driving safety.

This product covers the mirror housing, mirror glass, adjustment motor, turn signal, heating module and other core components. It fits Song PLUS DM-i and EV all series, supporting electric adjustment, heating, electric folding, blind spot monitoring and other functional configurations.

Key Selling Points

Precision OEM Parameter Matching

Developed based on BYD Song PLUS original vehicle data, with mounting points, connector plugs, and screw holes fully matching OEM specifications for direct replacement without modification.

Full Function Configuration Coverage

Available in low trim (9-wire no camera), mid trim (15-wire with camera), and high trim (18-wire with camera) versions to meet different vehicle configuration needs.

High-Quality Mirror Glass

Features anti-glare blue mirror or heated lens with excellent reflection clarity and weather resistance, effectively reducing nighttime glare interference and rapidly defogging in rain and snow.

Multiple Color Options

Available in white, black, gray and other housing colors to match the original vehicle appearance style and maintain visual consistency.

 Strict Quality Inspection

Each mirror assembly undergoes multiple functional tests including mirror angle, motor travel, heating efficiency, and turn signal brightness to ensure proper function and clear visibility after installation.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Remove the Old Mirror Assembly

Remove the mirror glass: Adjust the mirror to its lowest angle. Insert a plastic pry bar into the gap at the top of the glass, locate the internal clips, and pry outward firmly to release the glass. Apply even pressure to avoid cracking. Once released, unplug the heating connector (non-polarized) and the camera/blind spot monitor connector if equipped.

Remove the bezel: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 retaining screws on the bezel, then detach the bezel.

Remove the housing: First remove the single retaining screw on the housing. Then use needle-nose pliers to push out the clip, and pry open the remaining clips along the housing edge one by one to detach the housing.

Remove the turn signal: Remove the 3 screws securing the turn signal (one is located inside the lower housing), unplug the turn signal connector, and detach the turn signal.

Step 2: Remove the Door Triangle Panel

Open the front door and gently pry off the triangular trim panel on the inner door corresponding to the mirror position using a plastic pry bar. Once the clips release, remove the panel. The mounting screws for the mirror assembly are revealed behind the triangle panel.

Step 3: Remove the Mirror Assembly

Use a screwdriver to remove the mounting screws (typically 2-3) behind the triangle panel. Grip the mirror assembly with both hands and gently wiggle it loose, then pull it outward. Unplug the main harness connector by pressing the locking tab and pulling it out smoothly.

Step 4: Install the New Mirror Assembly

Connect the new mirror assembly‘s harness connector to the door harness, ensuring the locking tab engages fully. Align the assembly with the door mounting position, push it in, and tighten the retaining screws.

Step 5: Reinstall the Triangle Panel and Mirror Glass

Align the triangle trim panel with the clips and press it back into place. Then connect the heating harness and camera connector (for high-trim models) on the back of the mirror glass. Align the glass with the housing clips and press evenly with your palm until you hear a “click,” indicating it is fully seated.

Step 6: Function Test

Restore vehicle power and test the following functions: electric adjustment (up/down/left/right), electric folding (open/close), heating (touch the glass to check for warmth after activation), turn signal, camera feed (if equipped), and blind spot monitor indicator (if equipped).
