Product Description

Precision OEM OE Specification Match

Developed based on BYD Yuan Pro original vehicle data, with OE reference numbers 11771612-00 (Left) and 11771614-00 (Right). Mounting holes, ball joint taper, and bushing dimensions fully match OEM specifications for direct installation without modification .

High-Strength Metal Construction

Made from high-strength metal material, offering excellent impact resistance and structural rigidity. Effectively withstands road impacts and steering loads, ensuring stable suspension system operation .

McPherson Suspension Dedicated Design

Fits the Yuan Pro original McPherson independent front suspension structure, precisely matching the shock absorber and steering knuckle to restore original suspension geometry parameters .

Left and Right Available Separately

Left front lower control arm OE number 11771612-00, right front lower control arm OE number 11771614-00. Can be purchased individually based on actual damage to reduce repair costs .

OEM Replacement Quality

As a direct replacement for the original control arm, product specifications match OEM standards, suitable for repair replacement and suspension system restoration .

BYD Yuan Pro Front Lower Control Arm Assembly Installation Guide

Official repair manual steps for the Yuan Pro lower control arm replacement were not found in search results. The following is compiled from general automotive repair platform control arm replacement procedures (Steps 1-8, Notes, Torque Strategy), ball joint removal instructions for same-platform models (split pin, ball joint separator), and practical lower arm installation points (bolt tightening strategy, bushing tightening timing), for reference only.

Safety Precautions

Bushing bolts must be tightened with the vehicle on the ground under its own weight. Connection points with rubber bushings must be tightened to final torque only when the vehicle is resting on the ground under its own weight. Otherwise, the bushings will remain twisted long-term, causing premature aging and cracking.

Never apply grease to the ball joint tapered surface. The ball joint taper relies on metal-to-metal friction for retention. Grease will cause the ball joint to loosen and detach.

A ball joint separator must be used to remove the ball joint. Never use a hammer or pry bar to remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle, as this will damage the ball joint and seal.

Removing the Old Control Arm

Step 1: Lift Vehicle and Remove Wheel

Before lifting, loosen the lug nuts. Safely raise the vehicle and support it with jack stands, then remove the front wheel.

Step 2: Remove Ball Joint Split Pin and Nut

Remove the split pin from the ball joint lock nut. Then remove the ball joint lock nut with a wrench.

Step 3: Separate Ball Joint from Steering Knuckle

Use a ball joint separator to press the ball joint out of the steering knuckle. Note: Ensure the curved surface faces upward when installing the separator to avoid damaging the ball joint seal.

Step 4: Remove Control Arm-to-Subframe Bolts

Remove the bolts connecting the control arm to the front suspension crossmember (subframe). The Yuan Pro lower control arm typically has a front mounting bolt and a rear clamp mounting bolt.

Step 5: Remove Old Control Arm Assembly

After removing all mounting bolts, take the old control arm assembly off the vehicle.

Installing the New Control Arm

Step 6: Install New Control Arm and Hand-Tighten

Gently insert the new control arm into position. Hand-tighten all bolts and nuts to preliminarily position each connection point, ensuring the control arm fits snugly against the steering knuckle and subframe. Verify all mounting holes are aligned; do not force assembly.

Note: All fasteners should be only loosely tightened at this stage; do not fully tighten yet.

Step 7: Tighten Ball Joint to Steering Knuckle

Using a torque wrench, tighten the control arm-to-steering knuckle fasteners to the torque specified in the vehicle‘s repair manual.

Ball joint nut installation: Reinstall the slotted hex nut, tighten to specification, then install a new split pin and bend it to lock in place.

Step 8: Tighten Subframe Mounting Bolts

Using a torque wrench, tighten the control arm-to-subframe bolts in the order and to the torque specified in the repair manual.

Step 9: Lower Vehicle and Tighten Bushing Bolts

Critical step: Slowly lower the vehicle until the wheels touch the ground. With the vehicle resting on its own weight, tighten the rubber bushing connection points to their final torque values.
