The BYD Destroyer 05 is the first sedan of BYD's "Ocean Series", positioned as a compact sedan. The model offers 16-inch and 17-inch aluminum alloy wheel options, matched according to different configurations .According to model configuration information, the 55KM range version is equipped with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels fitted with 225/60 R16 tires; the 120KM range version is equipped with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels fitted with 215/55 R17 tires .

Installation Instructions

Tool Preparation:

  • Torque wrench (range: 80-120 N·m)

  • 17mm/19mm/21mm socket (depending on lug nut spec)

  • Jack, lug wrench

Installation Steps:

  1. Lift Vehicle: Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, lift vehicle with jack

  2. Remove Old Wheel: Remove original lug nuts, take off old wheel (注意 TPMS sensor if equipped)

  3. Clean Mounting Surface: Clean rust and dirt from wheel hub mounting surface

  4. Install New Wheel: Align new wheel with bolt holes, hand-tighten lug nuts to prevent cross-threading

  5. Torque in Sequence: Use torque wrench to tighten lug nuts in star/cross pattern in 2-3 steps; final torque 110 N·m

  6. Mount Tire: If reusing original tires, mount tires to new wheels and perform dynamic balancing

  7. Final Check: After lowering vehicle, re-check lug nut tightness
