Product Description

This product is professionally designed for BYD’s popular Ocean Series model—the BYD Destroyer 05, serving as a core safety consumable component in the braking system.

As a professional brake system parts factory with extensive OEM manufacturing experience, every brake pad set we produce strictly adheres to original equipment specifications, aiming to provide the aftermarket with a high-safety, high-comfort replacement solution.

Brake pads are the final actuating elements of the vehicle braking system, directly related to driving safety and braking distance—their quality directly affects the safety of drivers and passengers.

Compatible with all BYD Destroyer 05 models (including 2022-2025, 55KM/120KM range versions, Champion Edition, and Glory Edition), perfectly matching the front ventilated disc + rear solid disc brake architecture.

This product is strictly developed according to BYD Destroyer 05 original braking system data, with friction coefficient, backing plate dimensions, shim structure, and wear sensor interface precisely matching the original 1:1. Compatible with all 2022-2025 Destroyer 05 models (55KM/120KM range versions, Champion Edition, and Glory Edition).

Direct bolt-on installation with no modification needed—perfectly compatible with the front ventilated disc and rear solid disc brake architecture, ensuring braking response fully coordinated with the vehicle braking system.

Addressing owner feedback that the Destroyer 05 stock brakes feel soft, our brake pads feature an optimized friction material formulation that maintains original pedal comfort while delivering more linear braking force output and stronger anti-fade performance.

Each batch undergoes friction performance sample testing and shear strength inspection before shipment, ensuring friction coefficient stable within FF-class/EE-class OE standard range—braking distance predictable and reliable.

Built-in multi-layer OE-grade shim design effectively absorbs high-frequency brake vibration, eliminating brake squeal and enhancing driving quietness.

Equipped with mechanical wear indicator (electronic wear sensor optional)—automatically alerts when pads wear to the limit, prompting timely replacement and eliminating safety hazards.

As a source factory, we eliminate middlemen to offer highly competitive bulk pricing without compromising quality, with OEM/ODM customization supported.

Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

  • Lift or jack with safety stands

  • Socket wrench / combination wrench

  • Brake caliper piston rewind tool

  • Torque wrench

  • Brake cleaner

Installation Steps (General Reference):

  1. Lift Vehicle: Raise front/rear using a lift, remove corresponding wheels

  2. Remove Brake Caliper: Remove caliper guide pins, remove caliper

  3. Remove Old Pads: Remove old brake pads and shims from caliper bracket

  4. Push Back Caliper Piston: Use rewind tool to slowly push caliper piston back to original position

  5. Clean Mounting Area: Clean caliper bracket and guide pins, apply high-temp grease

  6. Install New Pads: Install new brake pads (with shims) onto caliper bracket

  7. Reinstall Caliper: Reinstall caliper, tighten guide pins to specified torque

  8. Reinstall Wheel: Reinstall wheel and tighten, lower vehicle

  9. Brake System Bleed: Depress brake pedal multiple times to seat pistons, confirm pedal firmness

Professional Tips:

  • After new pad installation, first 200 km is break-in period—avoid emergency braking

  • Recommended to replace both left and right pads on the same axle as a pair for balanced braking force

  • Recommended to inspect brake disc condition when replacing pads

  • Check brake fluid level after replacement
