Product Description

his product is professionally designed for BYD’s popular Ocean Series model—the BYD Destroyer 05, serving as a core safety friction component in the front ventilated disc brake system.

As a professional manufacturing factory specializing in automotive brake system parts, our front brake disc strictly follows OE specifications, dedicated to providing the global aftermarket with high-safety, high-durability replacement solutions.

The front brake disc works with brake pads to generate braking torque, converting the vehicle's kinetic energy into thermal energy—one of the core components determining braking distance and driving safety.

Compatible with all BYD Destroyer 05 models (including 2022-2025, 55KM/120KM range versions, Champion Edition, and Glory Edition). According to OEM specifications, the Destroyer 05 features ventilated disc front brakes and solid disc rear brakes.

Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

  • Lift or jack with safety stands

  • Socket wrench / Impact wrench

  •  Torque wrench

  •  Brake cleaner

  • High-temp grease (for guide pins)

Installation Steps (General Reference):

  1. Lift Vehicle: Raise the front using a lift, remove front wheels

  2. Remove Brake Caliper: Remove caliper guide pins, remove caliper and secure to body (avoid straining brake lines)

  3. Remove Old Disc: Remove disc retaining screws (if present), remove old brake disc

  4. Clean Mounting Area: Clean hub bearing mounting surface, ensure no rust or debris

  5. Install New Disc: Install new brake disc onto hub, pre-tighten retaining screws

  6. Reinstall Caliper: Reinstall caliper, tighten guide pins to specified torque

  7. Reinstall Wheel: Reinstall wheel and tighten, lower vehicle

  8. Brake System Bed-in: Depress brake pedal multiple times to seat pistons, confirm pedal firmness

【Professional Tips】:

  • New brake pads recommended when installing new brake discs for optimal braking performance

  • Recommended to replace both left and right front discs as a pair for balanced braking force

  • New brake discs require bed-in (approx. 200-500 km)—avoid emergency braking during this period

  • Check brake fluid level after replacement
